This tutorial shows how to export your existing database into CSV files that Effort can consume.

Effort provides an easy-to-use program, called Effort.CsvTool that makes the job for you. It can be downloaded from other available downloads section of the Download page.

Select the correct provider of your database, this will show up a property panel where you can specifiy the details of the database connection. Fill the essential properties, set the desired folder for export path, then press the “Export” button. The progress bar will indicate the state of the export process.  The completed CSV files can be used to setup the initial state of the fake database.

The tools seems to be doing nothing or just crashes.
Could you please provide which properties are required actually for this tool to work with SqlClient?
Where do I specify Table name apart from a connection string?
Also is the destination string a folder or the path?

Sorry for the late answer, I wasn't notified about the Wiki comments. I updated this page in order to cease confusion.
